Known as the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer has sadly passed away after a ten month battle with cancer at the age of 63 in Florida, USA.

The five time Grammy Award winning diva launched her career with the break through hit Love To Love You Baby, deeming her the queen of the disco era which dominated airwaves in the 1970’s.

With a string of number one hits, Donna Summers’ career spanned over four decades. Releasing hits such as She Works Hard For The Money, I Feel Love and Hot Stuff, Ms Summers produced records that would become iconic dance anthems.

Today some of the industry’s pop royalty have payed tribute, including Sir Elton John and Madonna. Close friend Liza Minnelli said “When you lose a friend you feel like they are gone forever … that is not true with my dear friend Donna. She was a queen, the Queen of disco, and we will be dancing to her music forever. My thoughts and prayers are with her family always.”
