Wednesday 20 February 2013, 8.30pm
Created exclusively by STUDIO in partnership with the Australia Council for the Arts, this brand new series explores some of Australia’s most influential arts organisations and the people that lead them. Looking firstly at Sydney’s Belvoir St Theatre, ‘Inside the Company’ follows the journey of new Artistic Director Ralph Myers as he simultaneously directs a new play, tours ‘The Wild Duck’ at Norway’s Ibsen Festival and launches his 2013 season. The second episode explores the Queensland Theatre Company through lauded indigenous playwright Wesley Enoch. When not travelling Australia contributing to new projects and festivals, Enoch creates new work and curates a dramatic new season as the Artistic Director of QTC. This never-before-seen look inside these prestigious institutes is compelling viewing, as the drama onstage is matched by the behind-the-scenes melee of being an Artistic Director.
